About Christa

As a little girl I already loved dancing, and dancing is still what I love most. When I dance I feel free and happy, and completely present. I lose myself in the music and get out of my head. That feels wonderful, because my head can get pretty busy.

Ten years ago my father died, and a lot of old pain came up with it. I developed physical complaints and went into therapy. I discovered many patterns that no longer served me. That was the start of an inner search, which deepened a few years later when I faced another deep loss.

During that search I tried all sorts of things. One morning I ended up in an Intuitive Dance class, and it was wonderful. I could dance freely, but I was also deeply moved. With tears on my cheeks and a smile on my face I stood there dancing, and I felt lighter again, although I had arrived so tired.

I kept going, and suddenly I thought: what if I could do this myself? What if I could let people experience this? That wish led me to dance coaching. On the introduction day I knew immediately: this is it. To me, dance coaching means freedom, joy, growth and vulnerability. My search began in pain, but it is now a path where all my curiosity has a place.

My approach

It matters to me that you feel at ease, so I take plenty of time for a gentle arrival. I bring a mix of down-to-earth practicality and spirituality, and I like to use spiritual tools to get closer to the core. Sometimes I use reiki and singing bowls, and I almost always start with a meditation. I am curious, genuinely interested, warm, present and loyal.
